Our commitment
Alonso Appeals is committed to making www.alonsoappeals.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which also satisfies the technical standard used by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and is the accepted benchmark under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we have done
- Every page has a skip link, a logical heading structure, labeled landmarks, and a unique page title.
- All functions work with a keyboard alone, and keyboard focus is always visible, including on dark backgrounds.
- Text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and links in running text are underlined so they do not depend on color alone.
- Informative images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Pages reflow to a single column at narrow widths and at high zoom, and support text-spacing changes without loss of content.
- Motion is limited to a short decorative animation that stops on its own and is disabled when your device requests reduced motion.
- Links that open a new tab say so to screen-reader users.
- The site was reviewed with automated testing (axe-core) across all pages at desktop and mobile widths, plus manual keyboard and zoom checks.
Known limitations
- Some publications and news items link to documents or pages hosted by other organizations (for example journals, bar associations, and news outlets). We do not control those, and some documents, such as older PDFs, may not be fully accessible. If you need any of them in another format, contact us and we will help.
